Resorters upset Eagles, end skid

SHEBOYGAN – Balanced scoring lifted the Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah girls basketball team over host Sheboygan Christian, 57-51, Tuesday night.

The upset win ended the Resorters’ four-game losing streak and raised their Central Lakeshore Conference record to 5-7 (7-11 overall). The Eagles slipped to 9-4 in the CLC (11-6 overall).

Mariah Ausloos led Elkhart in scoring with 13 points and Ashley Pfeifer tallied 12. Six Resorters had six or more points.

Hannah Modahl pumped in 26 points to spark Christian.

“We had a very well-played game, offensively, with good balance,” said Resorter head _ coach Donny Kulow.

“We made just enough free throws to hold Christian off. We played with the lead most of the second half and showed good patience on offense.”

Ausloos paced Elkhart rebounders with nine and Emma Feldmann had eight. Ausloos and Feldmann had a team-high three assists each. Feldmann led in blocked shots with two.
