David R. “Cheesemaker” Lensmire, age 63, died Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, at the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice Center.

He was born in Plymouth on July 23, 1950, son of Robert and Leona (Heinrich) Lensmire.

On Oct. 22, 1977, he married Cheryl Ferguson at St. John Lutheran Church.

He graduated from Plymouth High School and LTC.

He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.

He enjoyed bowling on the Twinbrook Cleaners bowling league, golfing and fishing in his free time.

David worked as a groundskeeper and maintenance man for the Plymouth School District.

He is survived by his mother, Leona; two sons, Jason Lensmire of Plymouth and Jered Lensmire of Plymouth; four grandchildren; and sister, Barbara (Russell) Semrad of Tigerton.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Services will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at Schneider Funeral Home & Life Tributes, 123 South St., Plymouth, with the Rev. John Schultz officiating.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until the time of service.
