Gwendolyn F. (Krueger) Guell, age 79, went to be with our Lord surrounded by her family on Monday evening, March 3, 2014, at the home of her daughter in Fox Lake.

Gwen was born March 11, 1934, to Allan and Viola (Kanter) Krueger in their home in Campbellsport. She attended Campbellsport schools and graduated from Campbellsport High School in 1951.

On Dec. 1, 1951, Gwen was united in marriage to Alton F. Guell at the Evangelical Reformed Church of Campbellsport, and they celebrated 60 years of marriage before he preceded her in death in December 2011.

Gwen was employed at Van’s Produce, as well as several grocery stores in the Adell area throughout the years. She also worked for several years at Mercury Marine in Cedarburg.

Gwen and Al made their home in the Cascade area and later moved to Adell. Gwen was a long-term member of Trinity United Methodist of Waldo, and sang with the choir. After retirement, they spent 19 warm winters in Arizona. Gwen was an avid reader, enjoyed cooking, golfing and playing cards with friends and family.

Gwen is survived by her children: daughter, Penny (Richard) Geiger of Fox Lake and son, Barry (Dawn) Guell of Plymouth; grandchildren: Nicole (Darin) Hawley of Flushing Mich.; Greg (Jes) Krahn of Plymouth; Terry Krahn of Sheboygan; Angela (Nick) Mertens, Kiel; Tyler (Carrie) Guell of Kiel and Evan and Mason Guell of Plymouth; and six great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her two brothers: Jerry (Carolyn) Krueger, Eden, and Jim (Jan) Krueger, Fond du Lac; three sisters: Lola Patterson, Fond du Lac; Sandra (Deems) Pelishek, West Salem, and Charlotte “Dolly” Keating, Sheboygan; three sisters-in-law: Mildred Guell, Fond du Lac; Kitty Krueger, Campbellsport, and her best friend, Joyce (Guell) Grahl of Plymouth; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Gwen was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at the Chapel at Ledgeview Memorial Park in Fond du Lac, Wis. The Rev. JD McCarty, pastor of Waupun United Methodist Church, will officiate. Entombment will take place at Ledgeview Memorial Park following the services.

Friends may call at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth from 9:30- 11:30 a.m. Saturday and at the CHAPEL at Ledgeview Memorial Park from 1 p.m. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Gwen’s name.
