The WIAA allows co-opted teams when schools do not have enough players or resources to field their own team. Three PHS Panthers played for the Red Raiders in 2011-12 and four played in 2012-13. The squad is open to boys and girls from Plymouth, Sheboygan South, Sheboygan North, Cedar Grove-Belgium, Kohler, Oostburg, Sheboygan Falls, Elkhart Lake- Glenbeulah and Sheboygan Lutheran high schools.

The Panthers on the varsity team were senior Ben Morris, juniors Cole Karczewski, Ian McKinch and Jim Oreck; sophomore Eric Schoneman; and freshmen Dylan Koehn and Jacob Welsch. Cole was captain, and Ian and Ben were assistant captains.

The Red Raiders lost in the first round of playoffs but had an amazing game at the end of the regular season Feb. 1 against rival Beaver Dam. The game went into overtime tied 2-2 and then the Red Raiders won a shoot-out, 1-0.

When Sheboygan left the Badgerland Hockey Conference to join the FRCC in 2009, Beaver Dam and Sheboygan coaching staffs agreed it was important to maintain their hockey rivalry and committed to playing each other every season. They wanted a traveling trophy that the winning team would possess until their next meeting, and an impromptu shoot-out in 2009 determined that Beaver Dam would design the Anchor Trophy.

Beaver Dam won the inaugural Anchor Game in January 2010, and again two years later. Sheboygan has won the game four times.
