Tax relief

To the Editor:

I want to thank State Senator Joe Leibham for his on-going efforts to make Wisconsin more tax friendly.

Because of his efforts to manage our expenditures in a responsible way and to grow our economy through job growth and economic development our state has gone from record multi-billion dollar deficits to billion dollar surpluses.

Last week, Senator Leibham voted to provide almost $51 billion in tax relief over the next year. The average property owner will see their property taxes reduced by $100 in 2014 and the average income earner will keep almost $5600 of their hard earned income. This is substantial tax relief.

Along with this tax relief, Senator Leibham helped build our state’s budget contingency fund from $2 million to $5279 million while making honest investments in our public schools, health care and transportation.

Thank you Senator Leibham for your focus on responsible budgeting and tax relief.

Sincerely,
Lynn Toth
