Amph-Rats to present ‘Pride & Prejudice’

The play will be presented by the Amph-Rats Acting Company, which consists of juniors and seniors enrolled in the Advanced Acting Class, or Drama II/III. The company got its name because students perform in the PHS Amphitheatre.

The script was adapted by Jon Jory from the famous novel by Jane Austen. Performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 10; Friday, April 11; and Saturday, April 12 in the Amphitheatre at the school, 125 Highland Ave., Plymouth. General admission tickets are $3 at the door.

In this play, Mr. and Mrs. Bennet (played by Matt Nelson and Paulina Norton) attempt to find husbands for their five daughters. However, these daughters are more particular than their parents would like in this classic coming-ofage story.

The 2014 Amph-Rat Acting Company is made up of the following student performers: seniors Rachel Altman, Brook Bignell, Daniel Chin, Alex Gallager, Gabe Guiriec, Mitchell Halderson, Zach Holden, Ingvild Konglevoll, Austin Kultgen, Jordan Lentz, Kaylece Licari, Nadezhda Mukhaleva, Matt Nelson, Paulina Norton, BriAnna Roehrborn and Josh Scott; and juniors James Balistreri, Shauna Clemens, Lucas Collard, Keegan Gustin, Cris Lozano and Andrea Werner; and senior volunteer Amy Addy.
