CHARLENE C. “CHAR” HERMANN

Charlene C. “Char” Hermann, age 64, of Plymouth, Wis., passed away peacefully late Tuesday evening, March 25, 2014, at her home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born Aug. 29, 1949 in Chicago, Ill., a daughter of the late Charles and Lela (Schwader) Goldbeck. She attended Tilton High School in Chicago.

On Aug. 12, 1988, she married Dennis Hermann in Las Vegas, Nev. The couple have resided in Plymouth since their marriage.

For the past 25 years, she has been a homemaker and took loving care of her grandchildren.

Char enjoyed miniature bowling at Lyceum Hall, riding on the Harley with her husband, going to Oneida to play bingo and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors included her husband, Dennis of Plymouth; one son, Charles Goldbeck of Plymouth; one daughter, Tina Lackner of Griffith, Ind.; four grandchildren: Amber Goldbeck of Milwaukee, Haley Goldbeck of Plymouth, Madison Goldbeck of Plymouth and Meagan Lackner of Griffith; mother- and father-in-law, Kenneth and Virginia Hermann of Plymouth; two sisters, Mary Goldbeck of Sheboygan and Loretta Henkel of Sheboygan Falls and two sisters-in-law, Donna (Bob) Keyes of Plymouth and Jamie (Gabe) Galloway of Plymouth; and also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Michael Lackner and one sister, Deborah Galbari.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, March 29, at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Father Wayne Bittner officiated. Burial was in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Plymouth.

A memorial fund is being established in Char’s name.
