Shirley Ann Cotter, age 84, of Waldo, went home to be with her Lord with her family at her side on Sunday, April 6, 2014, at her home.

She was born Aug. 29, 1929 in Plymouth, daughter of the late Ronald and Evelyn Juers. After losing her parents in a car accident, she was raised by her grandmother, Norma Spieker and her step grandfather, Emil Spieker.

She attended Waldo Grade School and graduated from Waldo High School.

She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Cascade.

On Sept. 6, 1947, she married Roger Cotter at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Adell. He preceded her in death Sept. 9, 2009, after 62 years of marriage.

In addition to raising her children, she also drove bus for Kvindlogs for over 30 years. In her free time she enjoyed spending time at the cabin in the woods, camping, reading, the Green Bay Packers, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by three children, Robert (Donna) Cotter of Madison, Jean (Charles) Flunker of Waldo and Ann Cotter of Waldo; four grandchildren, Richard (Rachael) Flunker of the town of Mitchell, Beth (special friend, Ryan) Flunker of Waldo, Christopher (Heather) Cotter of DeForest and Sean Cotter of Madison; three great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Emma and Flynn; one great-granddaughter due in July; and her step grandmother, Leila Spieker. Her beloved dogs Bentley and Sara also survive her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Daniel; and a sister, Jean.

Memorial services will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, at the Schneider Funeral Home in Plymouth with the Rev. Richard Bidinger officiating.

Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 3:30 p.m. until the time of service.
