Miscues cost Tigers in loss to Falls

Falls upped its record to 3-1 and the Tigers dropped to 1-4.

The Falcons jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. The Tigers ________________________ committed two errors which led to four unearned runs. Kelsi Gustafson and Calle Moberg delivered RBI singles in the frame.

Only one of the seven runs off Tiger pitcher Lyndsay Peterson were earned. Peterson took the loss – allowing seven hits and three walks to go with three strikeouts.

Autumn Horn earned the victory – going six innings and giving up two earned runs on three hits with four walks and nine strikeouts.

The Tigers scored both of their runs in the fourth which cut Falls’ lead to 5-2. Robyn Bitter scored on a wild pitch and Val Free came home on a groundout by Peterson.

Free, Sarah Scheiber and Sarah Gardner had one hit each for the Tigers.

The Falcons had seven batters with one hit apiece.
