A tale of two Tree Cities

Elkhart Lake (cover, top box) and Plymouth (above) both celebrated Arbor Day Friday with local students. Fifth graders from Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah Elementary School took part in a ceremony that included the planting of one of three trees added in the village, this one along North Lincoln Street. In Plymouth, second graders from St. John Lutheran School joined Public Works Director Bill Immich and Mayor Donald Pohlman in ceremonies at their school. Both communities unveiled their Tree City USA flags and students in both shared posters they made to mark Arbor Day.
