Ebbott defeated Jack Lemkuil of Green Bay Notre Dame in the thirdplace match, 6-2, 6-2. Ebbott finished 2-2 in the tourney.

Notre Dame won the eight-team tourney with 36 points. PHS took seventh with 11.

“Although the team standings might not reflect it, I think we had a great result at the very tough West De Pere Invite,” said Panther head coach Clare Sedlacek.

“The eight teams are some of the best in the state – teams with perennial state qualifiers like West De Pere, Notre Dame, Madison Edgewood and Brookfield Academy.

PHS was missing five varsity players due to various reasons.

Placing fourth for the Panthers were Matt Primozic at No. 1 singles (2-2 record); Tyler Equitz, No. 4 singles (2-2); and Gabe Binversie and Gavin Binversie at No. 1 doubles (2-2). The Binversie brothers were playing up a position because Ben Bachmann and Steven Blend attended the State Solo and Ensemble.

Also placing for PHS were Thomas Theisen and Ryan Gallagher, seventh at No. 2 doubles (1-3 record); and Mitch Heun and Anghelo Gangano, seventh at No. 4 doubles (1-3). Ryan Blend also competed for PHS and played at No. 3 singles (1-3).
