“The Funk Invitational is a nice meet for us to gauge our depth versus other schools our size,” said Resorter head coach Chris Petrie.

“It was a morale booster for the guys to beat the other conference schools at the meet. They had fun, they competed hard and they walked away with a little more confidence in their abilities.”

The Elkhart boys finished ahead of Central Lakeshore Conference rivals Kohler, Ozaukee and Sheboygan Lutheran.

“Knepfel, Holzmann and Schubert had nice meets. It was nice to see some others step up and take medals, including Kenna Rentmeester and Jordan Kissinger.,” Petrie said.

Kissinger earned a secondplace medal in the boys 800 run and Rentmeester won a third-place medal in the girls shot put.
