Howards Grove wins EWC dual finale

HOWARDS GROVE – The Howards Grove/Elkhart Lake- Glenbeulah Tigers won three of the four singles matches to key a 4-3 dual win over visiting Kewaskum in boys tennis action here Tuesday afternoon.

The Eastern Wisconsin Conference meet was the Tigers’ regular-season finale. HGHS finished 4-4 in the EWC (4-5 overall).

The Tigers’ singles winners were Andrew Reinemann at No. 2, Luke Stanczyk at No. 3 and Keegan Rhynas at No. 4.

Winning in doubles for Howards Grove were Erin Valenstein and Trent Beninghaus at the No. 2 spot.

“We had many hard-fought matches. The entire team showed a lot of heart. It was a great end to our conference season,” said Tiger head coach Elizabeth Hill.
