Mathwig-Wagner


Photo by Heath Photo by Heath Abigail Mathwig and Andrew Wagner exchanged marriage vows Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Fond du Lac. The Rev. Tom Behnke, pastor, performed the 1 p.m. double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Michael and Linda Mathwig of Fond du Lac. She was presented in marriage by her father, to the son of Warren and Theresa Wagner of Plymouth.

Music for the nuptials was provided by Jeffrey Krumbein, organist, and LeRoy Harbach and Hannah Behnke, vocalists.

Hannah Behnke, friend of the couple, of Milwaukee served as maid of honor. Attendants were Hannah Nielsen, sister of bride, of Monroe, Mich.; Rachael Mathwig, sister-in-law of bride, of Fond du Lac; Lydia Mathwig, sister of bride, of Mount Calvary; and Sanya Diederichs of Malone and Kimberly Hess of New Holstein, both friends of couple. Flower girl was Makenna Herbrand, goddaughter of bride, of Fond du Lac. Rebekah Herbrand, sister of bride, of Fond du Lac was personal attendant.

Tom Wagner, brother of the groom, of Elkhorn served as best man. Attendants were Paul Wagner, brother of groom, of Plymouth; Steve Petrie and David Diederichs, both cousins of groom and of Malone; Mike Burnett, friend of groom, of West Bend; and James Morgan, friend of couple, of Fond du Lac. Ring bearer was Lacota Lisowe, godson of groom, of Elkhart Lake.

Ushering duties were shared by Phil Mathwig, brother of bride, of Fond du Lac and Steve Wagner, brother of groom, of Waldo.

The reception and dinner were held at Waterfront Convention Center, Oshkosh.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of Winnebago Lutheran Academy, Fond du Lac, and 2012 graduate of University of Wisconsin Oshkosh with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood/ elementary education.

Her husband is a 2004 graduate of Plymouth Comprehensive High School, and 2012 graduate of UW-Oshkosh with a bachelor’s degree in business and finance. He is employed by Oshkosh Corp. as a buyer and Kiel Police Department as a police officer.

A honeymoon trip was taken to Jamaica.

The couple reside at Malone.
