Jacob G. Johnson, age 21, of the town of Sheboygan, passed away unexpectedly of an unforeseen accident on Saturday morning, May 31, 2014, at his home.

Jacob was born Feb. 24, 1993 in Sheboygan, Wis., a son of Kevin S. Johnson and Stephanie Kreuter. He attended Washington Elementary Grade School, Sheboygan Falls Middle School and graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School in 2011.

He was currently enrolled at University of Wisconsin-Sheboygan in architectural landscape and design and employed at the Wreath Factory in Plymouth and formerly employed at Dairy Queen in Sheboygan Falls and Pier One Imports in Kohler.

He enjoyed landscaping, being outdoors, plants and spending time with his friends.

Jacob was a very nurturing person and was an extremely caring caretaker and would drop anything anytime if someone needed help.

He is survived by his mother, Stephanie Johnson (fiancé, Shane Ellinger) of Sheboygan; father, Kevin Johnson of Sheboygan; future little stepbrother, Kieler Ellinger of Sheboygan; maternal grandmother, Darlene Maner of the town of Sheboygan; maternal grandfather, Larry Maner of Sheboygan Falls; paternal grandmother, Caroline Johnson of Sheboygan; aunts and uncles: Jack Kreuter II of Sheboygan, Christopher (Sherri) Kreuter of Howards Grove, Scott (Choi) Maner of Sheboygan, Lyn Maner of New Zealand, Larry (Kris) Johnson of Cleveland, Randy (Darla) Johnson of Sheboygan, Jerry (Dawn) Johnson of Sheboygan, Kay (Bruce) Rudie of Sheboygan, Kelly Gross (fiancé, Brian) of Sheboygan, Bobby (Deanne) Johnson of Sheboygan, Wayne Johnson Sr. of Sheboygan, Scott Johnson of Sheboygan, Kristine Johnson (special friend, Ed) of Sheboygan Falls, Marcie Schultek of New Berlin and Barry (Lelia) Johnson of Sheboygan and his godparents, Ronald (Tanya) Grunow of Sheboygan and Shelly Koehler of Madison; and also survived by many cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jack Kreuter I and paternal grandfather, Spencer Johnson.

Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. The Rev. Todd W. Smith, pastor of First United Lutheran Church in Sheboygan, officiated. Cremation followed services and inurnment was in the Gardens of Peace Mausoleum.

Visitation was held at the Suchon Funeral Home on Wednesday from 3 p.m. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Jacob’s name.
