Lois E. “Mickey” Miller, age 83, of Plymouth, Wis., passed away suddenly at her home Monday, June 16, 2014.

She was born March 27, 1931 in Champion, Mich., a daughter of the late Camille and Elizabeth VanHavemaat Duquette. She attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Grade School and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1950.

On Oct. 11, 1952, she married Richard A. “Dick” Miller at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. The couple resided in Plymouth since their marriage. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 11, 2002. Richard passed away April 2, 2004.

She worked at Borden’s Food Co. in Plymouth for years and also at Specialty Packaging for 25 years where she retired in 1993.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth.

Mickey volunteered many hours at St. Vincent de Paul in Plymouth.

She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, traveling, fishing and spending time with her precious family. Her great-grandchildren always put a smile on her face and left her with smackers.

Survivors include six grandchildren: Joe (Elizabeth) Miller of Plymouth, Liz Miller (fiancé, Kyle Grosskreutz) of Plymouth, Isaac Zimmermann of Plymouth, Ashley and Corinne Miller of Plymouth and Rebecca Zimmermann of Milwaukee; two great-grandchildren, Lianna and Corbin Miller; daughter-in-law, Geriann Kienbaum-Miller of Plymouth; two sisters, Natalie Faust of Waldo and Elizabeth Tershner of Plymouth; one sister-inlaw, Phyllis Duquette of Green Bay; one brother-in-law, Daniel Mousseau of Racine and special friends, Rita Schuh and Randy and Karen Brehm; and also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; two sons, Randy and Perry Miller; one daughter, JoAnn Zimmermann; one daughter-in-law, Debby Miller; one son-in-law, Scott Zimmermann; four sisters: Cecilia Yellen, Rita Branoel, Loretta Ziegler and Elaine Mousseau; three brothers: Bernard, Francis and Camille Jr. and two brothers-in-law, Ben Faust and Thomas (Laville) Miller.

Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday evening, June 20, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. Father Dan Volkert, pastor of the church, officiated and burial was in the parish cemetery.

A memorial fund is being established in Mickey’s name.
