Lakeland sets volleyball camps

The Lakeland College women’s volleyball program is hosting a series of five different clinics and camps in August for girls going into grades 4-12 in the upcoming school year, and registrations are being accepted at this time.

Lakeland is hosting separate clinics on serving, setting and hitting from Aug. 7-8 for girls entering grades 6-12, and also will host two separate skills camps Aug. 11-13, a general skills camp for girls entering grades 4-8 and a high intensity skills camp for those entering grades 9-12.

All clinics and camps will take place at the Wehr Center on Lakeland’s campus.

The serving clinic will take place Aug. 7 from 1-4 p.m., while separate clinics on setting and hitting/attacking will be held Aug. 8 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The general skills camp will be held Aug. 11-13 from 9 a.m.- noon, while the high intensity skills camp will take place those same three days from 1-5 p.m.

The camp staff will cover all phases of the game and allow the necessary repetition time to see improvement in every skill.

Campers are asked to register by Aug. 1, but walk-ins will be accepted with a parent-signed registration form.
