Dorothy Casassa, age 95, of Cascade, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, June 30, 2014, at the Pine Haven Christian Home in Sheboygan Falls.

She was born Oct. 15, 1918 in Sheboygan, daughter of the late Albert and Bertha (Jolke) Van Dyke. She attended Holy Name Catholic Grade School and Sheboygan High School.

She was a member of Our Lady of The Lakes Catholic Church in Random Lake and Holy Cross in Milwaukee. She was a member of the Christian Women and served as the caretaker of Beth Hamedrosh Cemetery in Milwaukee for over 35 years.

She is survived by her four children, JoAnn Eversdyk, Leonard Eversdyk, Susan Sloane and Ronald Eversdyk; her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; and daughterin law, Nancy Eversdyk.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Cassasa; son David and daughter Carol; sister, Josephine and brother, Robert; and two grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon Tuesday, July 8, at Our Lady of The Lakes Catholic Church in Random Lake with Father Todd Budde officiating. Private entombment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee.

Friends may call on Tuesday at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.
