New park dedicated

The newest park in the village of Elkhart Lake was dedicated Monday - Jeanette Moioffer Park on Kettleview Court. The park, dedicated to the former village administrator/clerk/treasurer in recognition of her 30-plus years of service to the village, serves as an entrance from the east to the June Vollrath Athletic Park. Moioffer was on hand to cut the ribbon opening the park (cover), with help from her grandsons Dakota and Canyon Kohler and great-nieces Elizabeth and Emma Dvorak. Village President Alan Rudnick and Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah Athletic Association President Matt Flora both made remarks prior to the ribbon cutting. Moioffer told the crowd the dedication was “a very proud moment. When my grandchildren bring their grandchildren here, they can point at this sign and say, ‘You know what? That was my grandma!’” The ceremony was followed by a reception at the Vollrath Park pavillion.
