Andy Michalowitz of Plymouth, a 2004 graduate of Plymouth High School and 2010 graduate of University of Wisconsin-Madison, graduated from Des Moines University School of Osteopathic Medicine in May 2014 with a degree in orthopedic surgery.

He is a resident at McLaren Macomb Hospital in Mount Clements, Mich.

He lives in Detroit, Mich., with his wife, Rebecca.

Student teams from University of Wisconsin-Stout took first and third places in a national student competition as part of the Association of Information Technology Professionals National Collegiate Conference held April 10-13 in Atlanta.

The team of Justin Lisowe took third place. Lisowe, of Elkhart Lake, is majoring in Information technology management.
