Plymouth excels in state trapshoot

MAYVILLE – The Plymouth No. 1 team earned Class AA runner-up honors in the Wisconsin High School State Trapshooting Championship at the Mayville Gun Club in May.

PHS finished fourth overall at state. Competing for the Panthers were Trevor Schaefer, the boys Class D champion runner-up; Hannah Larson, girls Class AA champion runner-up and fourth overall in the girls division; Laura Behr, girls Class A champion runner-up and sixth overall in girls division; and Johanna Pantke, the girls Class E champion.

Panther JV loses to Falls, 13-3

Sheboygan Falls outhit the Plymouth Panthers 12-5 to key a 13-3 rout in junior varsity baseball action July 1 at Falls.

Tyler Moegenburg led PHS at the plate with two hits. Reece Hill scored a team-high two runs.

On June 27, the Panthers lost to visiting Brookfield East, 13-5. East pounded out 12 hits and PHS was held to five. Moegenburg and Derek Schweiger led the Panther attack with two hits each. Hill led in runs with a pair.

In a June 26 game, PHS lost at Random Lake, 7-3. The Panthers mustered only three hits – one each by Matt Richards, Ethan Keller and Trevor Horneck.
