Community invited to join PHS Homecoming Parade

Community groups are encouraged to enter the 2014 Plymouth High School Homecoming Parade, which has a theme of “PHS: Ancient Greece” this year.

The parade will travel through downtown Plymouth beginning at promptly 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10. The parade will begin near the Plymouth Fire Department at the corner of Caroline and Main streets and travel south to Mill Street and east to North Street.

Cars, floats and walkers may participate. Floats and cars must move at 5 mph. For safety reasons, candy and gum cannot be thrown, but may be handed to children.

Participants will line up on a first-come, first-served basis this year, lining up as close to the start as possible when they arrive. Homecoming committee members and Plymouth City Police will help direct participants

To participate, return a parade entry form by Friday, Oct. 3 to the PHS office, 125 Highland Ave. Forms are available in the office and online at There is no entry fee.
