Red Cross Blood Drive on tap at St. Paul’s

The Red Cross Community Blood Drive, sponsored by the Sheboygan Falls Kiwanis Club, is scheduled for Wednesday, July 16 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls from 12:30- 5:30 p.m.

An emergency call for blood and platelet donors of all types has been issued.

Because of wind and rain storms many drives have had to be canceled in the state. Also, fewer people give during the busy summer, even though accidents and illnesses still require blood transfusions.

Every two seconds someone in the United States needs blood.

The American Red Cross provides blood products for hospitals in Sheboygan, Green Bay, Milwaukee and throughout Wisconsin.

To make an appointment, call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733- 2767) or visitredcrossblood.org. Walk-ins are welcome.

Individuals must be 17 years of age (16 with parental consent). weigh at least 110 pounds and be in generally good health to donate. Those wishing to donate are asked to bring in a photo ID or a blood donor card. One donation can help three patients.
