The Wisconsin State Honors Music Project offers select talented students in grades six through eight the opportunity to rehearse and perform with nationally known conductors and some of the best middle-school student musicians in the state.

Of the 1,250 students who auditioned in April, 300 were selected to participate in State Honors Choir, Band or Orchestra. They will receive their music in August and meet for the first time the day before their fall performance at the Wisconsin State Music Conference at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1 in Madison.
