Richard J. “Dick” Zwart, 82, formerly of Sheboygan Falls, passed away Friday, July 11, 2014, at Clarehouse in Tulsa, Okla.

He was born Aug. 12, 1931 in Sheboygan Falls, Wis., a son of John and Anna (Markus) Zwart. Dick was a 1949 graduate of Sheboygan Falls High School.

Dick worked for Sun Oil Co. as a supervisor of building services. Dick moved to the Tulsa area in 1954 from Wisconsin.

He was married to the former Miss Alvera “Vera” Debbink on April 23, 1955 in Gibbsville, Wis. They moved to Broken Arrow in 1969.

Dick enjoyed gardening, hunting and being outdoors. He was a member of the Broken Arrow Historical Society, the Late Great Chevy Car Club, the Crusaders Sunday Class and the First United Methodist Church in Broken Arrow.

Survivors include his wife, Vera Zwart, of Broken Arrow, Okla.; two daughters, Sherry (Larry) Dukes, of Broken Arrow, Okla. and Renee (Scott) Anderson, of Coffeyville, Kan.; two sons, Jeff (Kathy) Zwart, of Broken Arrow, Okla. and Mike Zwart of Broken Arrow, Okla.; 12 grandchildren, Tony and Kristina, Emily, Mandy,

Keith, Stacey, Leah and Philip, Kisha, Jodie and Brendon, Chelsi; five greatgrandchildren, Alex, Audri, Aleena, Skylar and Charley; two sisters, Julee (Dick) Bernier, Furon, Calif. and Elaine (Manny) Zunker of Sheboygan Falls.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Carrie and Dorothy.

Funeral services were held for Dick Zwart on Thursday, July 17, at the First United Methodist Church in Broken Arrow, Okla. The Rev. Larry Varvel officiated. Burial was held at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Hayhurst Funeral Home.
