Book Bingo at library

Join us at the Plymouth Public Library for one last special summer event: Book Bingo!

Come to the library Wednesday, Aug. 6, to play book-themed bingo. If you get BINGO, you win a free book. There will be two sessions of book bingo this day: A game at 10 a.m. for children ages 7 and under accompanied by an adult, and a game at 1:30 p.m. for children ages 8 and older, with or without an adult. No exceptions to the age restrictions will be made.

The Summer Library Program is almost over, so make sure to bring in your reading booklet by Saturday, Aug. 9, to get your prizes. If you complete your booklet by that date, be sure to pick up an Extra Challenge sheet. Completing the Extra Challenge will earn you a free book as a prize. The last day to turn in Extra Challenge sheets will be Saturday, Aug. 30.

Teens should also be sure to turn in all of their Reading Raffle Tickets and check in with their Chance-It game boards before Saturday, Aug. 9. State 23 project nearly complete

The State 23/County Y project in the village of Kohler is nearing completion, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation regional office in Green Bay.

Crews will be placing concrete curb and gutter on northbound County Y this week. Concrete sidewalk will be placed in median south of the structure on County Y. Crews will also continue installing hand rail on top of parapet walls on the County Y bridge structure.

The 0.23-mile, $2 million project includes bridge painting, concrete deck surface repairs, joint repairs and a concrete deck overlay for the County Y bridge over State 23, pavement replacement on the on/offramps at State 23 and County Y interchange, and on County Y between the on/off-ramps.

State 23 on-ramps from County Y are closed through mid-August. County Y will be reduced to one lane in each direction. There may also be singlelane closures on State 23 in the westbound and eastbound directions.

County DL (Dairlyand Drive) continues to be closed from State 42 to County XX in Manitowoc County for reconstruction and repaving as part of the County LS And Dairyland Drive construction project.
