Riverdogs rap West Bend in LOL season finale

Rhude and Dave Stecker combined for a 3-0 win. — Photo by Stacy Gloede HOWARDS GROVE – The Riverdogs unlimbered their bats in the Land O’ Lakes season fi- nale Sunday, pounding out 10 hits as they outlasted the West Bend Benders, 11-6.

The Riverdogs scored in all but two innings to lift their final LOL record to 5-13, clinching the seventh seed in the LOL playoffs. The Riverdogs will open the playoffs at Port Washington against the Lakers at 1p.m.

Noah Steines had three hits to lead the assault for Howards Grove, which overcame a 4-1 defi- cit to the Benders after the first inning and a half.

Ryan Halverson added two hits and three runs batted in for the Riverdogs. Steines, Halverson and P.J. Weber rapped doubles for the winners.
