To the Editor:

Participation in the Food Science & Agriculture Center Community Challenge will be coming to an end in The Review on August 29 but there is still time to donate and have your contribution matched up to $10,000 by a generous alumnus of Plymouth High School.

The Capital Campaign Committee for the Food Science & Agriculture Center appreci- ates the support of The Review editors for their generosity in promoting the Community Challenge through the printing of the donor form and sharing the informative articles about the benefits of the project to our children and the community.

Donations are coming in regularly and we look forward to reaching that match challenge as a result of The Review’s support.

Why is the Food Science & Agriculture Center building project so important to us?

It’s all about educating our children, giving them the tools they need to make better ongoing education choices, become employable and build a better future for themselves.

Adding the Food Science & Agriculture Center will raise the curriculum bar in many subject areas for the Plymouth School District.

It will form a bridge with area industries and offer more opportunities for student internships. Cooperation with higher education facilities in the area will benefit the students as they further their education.

Community Education will be able to offer unique enrichment opportunities to the community through the Center.

Achieving all of these benefits for our children and our community makes this Capital Campaign worth the efforts of our committee as we work towards are final goal of $1 million by the end of 2014. And your donations and support are taking us one step closer.

Thank you all for helping to “plant a seed”!
