Earth angels

To the Editor, What an amazing support net- work Project Angel Hugs has!

What started out as a $250 challenge turned into a $1500 donation to PAH.

I wish I could have been present to watch the total grow as it did. I was out of town on Saturday and missed seeing it unfold. I did however have a volunteer in the stands who sent me numerous texts as the donations were announced.

It is truly humbling that there are so many people who have our backs and cover our needs.

The racing community has embraced Project Angel Hugs and has done so many things for us.

From this act of kindness where groups and individuals donate money, to those who attended the Annual “Be An Angel” Benefit so families could sit in race cars and pretend for a moment they are in the driver seat, to even shaving your head for donations!

I do not know all of the teams and individuals who participated in this latest fund raiser, but I thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

We cannot do what we do without the continued support from racers, businesses and individuals like you.

It is true......Angels drive race cars too.

Thank you,
Chari Perl
