James R. “Jim” Malueg, age 85, of Plymouth, Wis., passed away Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan.

He was born July 12, 1929 in Clintonville, Wis., a son of the late Albert and Beatrice McKay Malueg.

Jim attended Clintonville grade schools and graduated from Clintonville High School in 1947. Following high school, Jim served in the United States Army from 1948-51.

On Sept. 10, 1955, he married Dorothy Patricia Bart of Shorewood, Wis., at Whitefish Bay Community Methodist Church. After raising their family in Oostburg, Wis., the couple spent 20 years of retirement residing in Tucson, Ariz., and since 2010 in Plymouth.

Jim worked as an inspector and blueprint engineer for the Simplicity Co. in Port Washington for 29 years retiring in 1991.

He is a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth.

Jim enjoyed fishing, hunting and model railroading. He shared his love and talent for hunting by teaching Hunter Safety to the youth of Sheboygan County. As a member of the Sheboygan County Conservation Club, he worked the Conservation Booth at the Sheboygan County Fair for several years. He was also a member of the Model Railroad Club in Sheboygan and in his later years, he enjoyed traveling with his wife.

Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Dorothy “Pat” of Plymouth; six children: Timothy Malueg (partner, Dale Hafner) of Oostburg; Patricia (Roger) Mulder of Rogers, Minn.; Thomas Malueg of Oostburg; Theodore Malueg (special friend, Dawn) of Oostburg; Priscilla (Gregg) Winkel of Sheboygan and Pamela (Bill) Bruggink of Oostburg; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Karen Layden of Milwaukee; two brothers-inlaw, Raymond Koukari of Shawano, Wis., and Larry Bart of Hayward, Wis.; sisterin law, Darlene Malueg of Menasha, Wis.; dear cousins, Warren and Connie McKay, and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Malueg and Beatrice (McKay) Malueg; his sisters, Virginia, Dorothy and Audrey and his brothers, Robert and Gary.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. The Rev. Nathan Meador, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth, will officiate. Cremation has taken place.

Visitation will be held at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in James’ name for the American Heart Association.

The Plymouth VFW World Cheese Center Post #5612 will conduct military rites at the funeral home following the services.
