Sophie and Brooke led us with real tough races. Karly [Knaus], Olivia [Jankowski] and Maria [Ryan] filled in strong to round out our top five.

“For the boys, Ian, Paul [Francis] and Alan [Schaefer] continue to give us a solid 1-2-3 combination. They all looked real good as the race went on. Gabe [Olsen] and Brent [Thiel] also ran well to finish up our scoring,” said Grosshuesch.

Tiger head coach Gary Kalk was excited about his teams’ debut performances.

“Three things really stood out about my team today. First, we’re going to be really good this fall. Second, we still have plenty of room to improve. Third, the kids that finished their first high school cross country races exceeded my expectations,” said Kalk.

“Race fans also saw solid performances from Ashley Reinemann and Eric Dvorachek. Both earned medalist honors with their top-20 finishes.”
