LEROY HENRY REICHERT

Leroy Henry Reichert, age 78, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully Friday, Sept. 12, 2014, at the Plymouth Care Center.

He was born in the town of Sheboygan Falls on May 29, 1936, son of the late Melvin and Erma (Dassow) Reichert. Leroy attended the Acorn School and later graduated from Plymouth High School in 1954.

On Aug. 23, 1958, he married Marilyn Deicher at Salem U.C.C. in Plymouth.

He worked for the Sheboygan Falls Co-op and later worked as a salesman for Cole Chemical (ConAgra).

He was a member of Salem U.C.C., where he served on the consistory and was a member of the men’s group.

Leroy enjoyed playing dartball, bowling, couple’s golf league, fishing, and many card games (especially skat and sheepshead) with friends and family.

He was a die-hard Cubs fan, and also enjoyed the Packers, Badgers, and his grandsons’ activities.

Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Leroy is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Marilyn; sons: Randy (Tracy) of Kiel, Rob (Kaye) of Verona and Ron (Sandi) of Onalaska; grandsons: Kyle, Ben and Owen; brother, Vernon (special friend, Shirlee Bunge); and brother- and sister-in-law, Roger and Skip Deicher.

He was preceded in death by his parents; father- and mother-in-law, Arthur and Elvira Deicher; sister-in-law, Marian Reichert; and nephew, Dennis Deicher.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, at Salem United Church of Christ in Plymouth. Burial will take place at the Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery.

Friends may call at the CHURCH from 12 NOON Wednesday until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Leroy’s name.
