Winning for the Panthers were Cassandra Nicholson at No. 1 singles, Danielle Wiese, No. 3 singles, and the No. 2 doubles team of Hailey Molkenthine and Ella Harpstead. Two Rivers had to forfeit the No. 4 singles and No. 3 doubles matches because they didn’t have enough players.

In EWC play Thursday afternoon, the Panthers lost at Kewaskum, 4-3. The Indians won three of the four singles matches to key the win.

The Panthers fell to 1-3 in league duals. Wiese was Plymouth’s singles winner. The Panthers’ doubles winners were Harpstead and Molkenthine at the No. 2 spot, and Madi Hegin- bottom and Katie Trakel at No. 3.

“Our dual against Kewauskum was the most evenly matched competition we have had this year. I really feel like some of our matches could have gone either way which made for an exciting day on the courts,” said PHS head coach Laura Michel.

“The No. 2 doubles match was the most thrilling as they closed the match in three sets. The No. 3 doubles and No. 3 singles also had strong finishes for the team – gaining our three points in the match [dual].”
