Kare 4 Kids

To the Editor,

On Saturday, October 4th the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Sheboygan County Council will be hosting its annual Friends of the Poor Walk. This two mile walk will be held at Sheboygan South High School at 10:00am. All funds from the walk will be used to support our “Kare 4 Kids” program. Last year needy children in Sheboygan Falls received a brand new pair of shoes, kids in Sheboygan were given a bed to sleep in and Plym- outh children were set for winter with new coats, snowpants, boots, hats and mittens.

The Friends of the Poor Committee members encourage all to participate in the Friends of the Poor walk as either walkers or pledgers. Registration information is available at svdpplymouth.org or the morning of the walk at Sheboygan South High School.

The Friends of the Poor Walk is a fun way for members of the community to become a friend of the poor, to get others to join in the spirit of giving, and to show the poor in our community that we really do care about them. Come on out, walk a mile in someone else’s shoes and become a friend of the poor.
