David T. Nichols, 49, of Plymouth, Wis., died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014.

He was born Jan. 18, 1965, in Oshkosh, Wis., the son of Robert E. and Carol D. (Kriewald) Nichols. He graduated from Brown Deer High School in 1983 and later received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 1987.

He later served in the U.S. Navy from Nov. 1, 1989 to May 6, 1992.

Dave was employed by Sargento Cheese Co. of Kiel, and had previously worked for Great Lakes Cheese of Plymouth.

He was a devoted father, avid sportsman, and handyman. We’ll miss his wide smile, sense of humor, quick wit, and unique ability to quote his favorite lines from classic movies.

Surviving are two sons, Benjamin and Joseph Nichols and their mother, Amy (Pankow) Nichols, all of Plymouth; and four brothers, Steven (Kim) Nichols of Greendale, Wis.; Thomas (Dena) Nichols of Mesa, Ariz.; John (Mary Jo) Nichols of Manitou Springs, Colo., and Matthew Nichols of Waukesha, Wis. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

His parents preceded him in death.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place.

Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, Fond du Lac, is in charge of arrangements. Additional information and guest book may be found at www.ueckerwitt.com.
