Verna Norma Hulda Hueppchen, age 94, of Kohler, formerly of Plymouth, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014, at the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.

She was born June 7, 1920 in Clark County, daughter of the late Amos and Matilda (Neuhaus) Miller. She attended Sheboygan County grade schools.

On June 15, 1940, she married Harold Hueppchen at Bethel United Church of Christ in Elkhart Lake. The couple had enjoyed over 70 years of marriage together. Harold preceded Verna in death July 16, 2010.

Verna was a current member of Salem United Church of Christ in Plymouth.

In her free time she enjoyed needlepoint and attending many different craft shows around the area.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen A. Goldman of Sheboygan; two grandchildren, Todd (Chris) Preder of Sheboygan and Tricia J. Powell of Kohler; and two very special great-grandchildren, Sammy and Malayna Preder.

She was preceded in death by a son-inlaw, Paul Goldman; two sisters, Elda Laabs and Arlene Stone; and five brothers, Harold, Harvey, Arnold, Melvin and Eugene Miller.

Funeral services were held Monday evening, Sept. 29, at Salem United Church of Christ in Plymouth with the Rev. James Hoppert officiating. Cremation took place after the funeral and entombment of Verna’s cremains took place in the Garden of Peace Mausoleum in the town of Sheboygan.
