LLOYD H. “AL” STREBLOW

Lloyd H. “Al” Streblow, age 65, of Plymouth, Wis., passed away suddenly Thursday evening, Oct. 16, 2014, at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan of an apparent heart attack.

He was born Jan. 3, 1949 in Plymouth, a son of the late Harold and LaVerne (Sass) Streblow.

He attended St. John Lutheran Grade School and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1967. He attended Sheboygan Normal Teachers College.

Al served in the United States Army from 1968-70 during the Vietnam War.

In May 1973, he married Deborah Hellmer at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Plymouth.

He was employed for 32 years for the Plymouth School District as the head of the maintenance department, retiring in 2007.

On Jan. 13, 2007, he married Alice Heimermann in Las Vegas, Nev. The couple have resided in Plymouth since their marriage.

Al was a current member of Quit Qui Oc Men’s Golf League. He also played many years in the Plymouth Softball League.

He enjoyed playing cards (especially sheepshead) and was an avid sports fan following all the Wisconsin sports teams. Al loved his Wednesday nights at Chissy’s Restaurant in Waldo and spending time with his loving family and many friends.

Al was always willing to help anyone in need and continued to show this kindness by becoming a tissue and bone donor.

Survivors include his wife, Alice of Plymouth; three children: Stacey (Joe) Sanfelippo of Cedar Grove, Travis (Dawn) Streblow of Plymouth and Shane (Rebecca) Streblow; seven grandchildren: Gwenyth and Ezra Streblow, Noah and Dominic Sanfelippo and Nolan, Samuel and Lillian Streblow; two stepchildren, LeRoy (Michelle) Braatz of Plymouth and Jessica Braatz of Plymouth; three step grandchildren: Lucas, Maria and Louie Braatz; one sister, Karen (Raymond) Rizzi of Plymouth; six brothers- and sisters-in-law: Mary (John) Grinwald of Slinger, Jean (Ching) Lau of Theresa, Wis., Barb (Harry) Sanders of Fond du Lac, Joyce (Don) Sinkula of Racine, Carolyn Wittkopp of Fond du Lac and Carl (Skip) Heimermann of Waucousta, Wis.; longtime dear friend and golf buddy, Jerry (Mary Beth) Weinhold of Cascade; and also survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his fatherand mother-in-law, Ed and Ruth Heimermann and one niece, Leah Lau.

Memorial services were held at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. The Rev. Alan Kubow, pastor of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Sheboygan, officiated. Cremation has taken place.

Visitation was held at the Suchon Funeral Home on Monday from 3 p.m. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Al’s name.
