All three ran real strong races and did well in the competitive field,” said Panther head coach Jay Grosshuesch.

“Sophie had another great race. She got out pretty well and then, as she has all season, made a nice charge in the second mile to get into the top-12 of the field.

“Brooke tapped off a fantastic four-year cross country career in style with a nice run at state. She has competed at the state meet all four years of her cross country running, something only two other girls in PHS history have done,” said Grosshuesch.

“Ian started the day off with a nice race. He got out a bit slow and with the large field it took him awhile to break loose. He had a great finish which is tough to do at state because the last 200 is all uphill.”
