WISCONSIN RAPIDS - Sheboygan Falls High School sophomore Clark Otte finished in 15th place at the WIAA Division 2 Boys Cross Country State Meet at The Ridges Golf Course at Wisconsin Rapids Saturday, Nov. 1.

In a field of 150 runners, Otte finished in a time of 16:21.90, which was 40 seconds better than his sectional time.

“I am very proud of Clark,” Falcons’ head coach Tiffany Otte said. “He loves the big, challenging races. He got out fast and hung on well. He is a fearless and mentally tough competitor. He is very coachable and fun to watch.”

This was Otte’s first appearance at state in cross country.

Otte also qualified for state in boys track last spring in the 1600 run.
