Performances will begin at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14 and Saturday, Nov. 15 in the Riverview Auditorium. A matinee will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16.

The script, based on the beloved book by E.B.White, was adapted by Joseph Robinette with music and lyrics by Charles Strouse.

The musical score includes “Who Says We Can’t Be Friends,” an enchanting duet between Wilbur and his new-found companion Charlotte; “Welcome to the Zuckerman Barn,” featuring all the story’s unforgettable animals in a hand-clapping, toe-tapping hoedown; and “Summer,” a haunting, nostalgic chorus number which evokes a time and place from everyone’s childhood.

The show runs for about one and a half hours, with one 10-minute intermission, making it a great theatrical adventure for even the youngest audience members.

General-admission tickets are available for $4 each in the Riverview office, and will be available at the door. Those under the age of 8 who come to the Sunday matinee dressed as any of the main Charlotte’s Web characters will be admitted for free, introduced onstage at intermission and entered into a drawing for themed prizes.

The play is directed by Rachel Trempe and Sarah Paff, with piano accompanist Brittany Seifert. Technical director is Gary Kaiser.
