Shining the pumpkin light

Religious education students in first through sixth grade at Blessed Trinity Catholic Parish in Sheboygan Falls participated in a pumpkin project Oct. 29. Students cleaned out the “yucky” stuff inside the pumpkins and replaced it with the light of Christ. After the tea lights were placed inside the pumpkins, the children sang "This Little Light of Mine." Pictured are first-grader Brayden Schwerin (top right photo) showing the happy face of his pumpkin, fifth-grader Jacob Bretail (bottom right photo) helping first-grader Daniel Rysewyk clean out his pumpkin and fourth-grader Hailey Bley (top left photo) displaying some of the “yucky” stuff caught between her fingers.
