Christmas Cheer and Camo Quilt

The Sheboygan Riverside Boat Club held its first annual Veterans Fishing Derby in August. Veterans were given a free fishing trip on Lake Michigan, followed by a brat fry. The proceeds were donated to Camo Quilt Project and the Sheboygan County Veterans Commission Christmas Cheer project for needy veterans. Checks for $500 were presented by Gene Blindauer (left), member of the boat club and commander of Plymouth American Legion Post 243 to Linda Wieck (right) for Camo Quilt Project and Konrad Kaczkowski (center), adjutant for the Legion Post and Veteran Commission member, at the post’s October Social Night.
