Shirley “Deanna” Thomas, age 72 of Cascade (Town of Mitchell) passed away following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer on Wednesday (Nov.19th) at Froedtert Hospital where she was surrounded by her loving family.

She was born April 27, 1942 in Cascade, a daughter of the late Francis and Mary (Gill) Turk.

She attended Plymouth High School.

On August 1, 1959 she married Robert Thomas at Zion United Methodist Church in Batavia. The couple has resided in Sheboygan County since their marriage. Robert preceded her in death on January 29, 2014.

Survivors include her three children: Scott Thomas of Oswego, IL, Shellie (Bill) Werner of Randolph, WI and Jackie Derus-Meyer (Husband: Patrick) of Cascade, WI; ten grandchildren: Alex, Shannon, Matthew, Zach, Josh, Paige, Brandon, Emma, Evan and AJ and two great grandsons: Collin and Declan.

Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers: Dennis and Francis and one sister: Shari.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday (Nov. 23rd) at 4:00 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Pastor Ellis “Hap” Itson of Zion United Methodist Church will officiate.

Visitation will be held on Sunday (Nov. 23rd) at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth from 2:00 P.M. until the time of services.
