Falls nips Denmark to post first win

After the two squads played to a 10-10 tie in the first quarter, Denmark outscored the Falcons 16-9 in the second quarter to move ahead 26-19 at halftime.

The two teams battled back and forth throughout the second half with the Falcons holding on to pick up their first victory of the 2014-15 season.

Becky Raeder guided Falls (1-1 overall) with a game-high 21 points. Nicole Preder and Erika Van Engen added 11 points each for the Falcons.

The Falcons shot a steady 17 of 21 from the free throw line, while Denmark hit 16 of 27 free throw attempts.
