HARRIET MICHAELS

Harriet Michaels, age 90 of Cascade, WI passed away at the home of her daughter, Lori, on Sunday (Nov. 30th) surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on October 3, 1924 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI, a daughter of the late Harry and Zella (Smith) Weinbauer.

She graduated from Plymouth High School in 1944.

On June 1, 1946 she married Francis Michaels at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Cascade. The couple resided on the family farm in the Town of Scott until 1986 when they moved to their current home. Her husband preceded her in death on November 5, 2006.

She was employed at Regal Ware Company in Kewaskum for over 30 years until retiring and was a member of the 25 Year Club.

Harriet was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church and a former member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Parnell. She was also a member of the Parnell Moonshiners Snowmobile Club and the Cascade Senior Center.

She enjoyed her family, card playing, traveling, bird watching, doing jig saw puzzles and visiting with friends.

Survivors include five children: Debbie (Jim) Klug of Cedarburg, Lynn (Jim) Liermann of Cascade, Bruce (Pat) Michaels of Cascade, Brenda (Rick) Vetter of Beechwood and Lori (Jerry) Newhauser of Kewaskum; grandchildren: Lisa (Mark) Theis of Port Washington, Mindy (Todd) Schlessinger of Port Washington, Bridget (Broc) Zautner of Cedarburg, Christopher (Jen) Michaels of Elkhart Lake, Cheryl (Alejandro) Lezama of Milwaukee, Carrie

(Chad) Krahn of Cascade, Nicole Vetter (Husband: Hans Christianson) of Chapel Hill, NC, Ethan Vetter of Beechwood, Billie Michaels of Kewaskum and Jesse Michaels (Special friend: Jen) of Kewaskum; great grandchildren: Jeremy, Cale, Zoey Lauralei, Quinn, Stephanie, Spencer, Alyssa, Hunter, Thomas, Carly, Alejandro, Nikko and Kailee and one brother-in-law: Harold Goelzer of Plymouth.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Francis; grandson: Maxim Vetter and brother: Stanton Lunde.

She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday morning (Dec. 4th) at 11:00 A.M. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Parnell preceded by family rites at the Suchon Funeral Home at 10:15 A.M. Father John Radetski, pastor of Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery in Parnell.

Friends may call at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth on Wednesday (Dec. 3rd) from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. and on Thursday morning (Dec. 4th) from 9:30 A.M. until the time of family prayers.

The rosary will be recited at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth on Wednesday evening (Dec. 3rd) at 7:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Harriet’s name.
