The win upped the Tigers’ CLC record to 4-0 (4-2 overall) and kep them in a tie for first with Sheboygan Christian. The defending league champion Lady Dutch slipped to 3-1 in the CLC (3-4 overall).

HGHS broke the game open by outscoring Oostburg 21-7 in the fourth quarter after leading just 28- 26 through three periods. Edge and Brittany Schaller combined for 17 points in the final quarter to seal the win – Edge with nine and Schaller, eight.

The Tigers sank 13 free throws in the fourth quarter, led by Schaller with eight. Schaller finished the game with 14 points.

Edge, who hit four three-point goals, erupted for 14 points in the second half, including three treys.

“Morgan edge hit some huge threes for us in the second half that helped us pull away. Oostburg fouled us late to stop time and get the ball back and we made enough free throws to hang on,” said Tiger head coach Heidi Georgeff.

“We didn’t play our best game in the first half but defensively we made some changes at half and picked up a little more pressure in our press. We rebounded better too.”

Sam Yancy led HGHS in rebounds with 10. Kaitlynn Near had a team-high three steals. Schaller, Edge and Near paced the Tigers in assists with two each.

Aimee Bichler was the Lady Dutch’s top scorer with 13.
