Resorters break out of slump

Elkhart improved to 2-3 in the Central Lakeshore Conference (2-4 overall) and snapped a three-game losing streak. The Rams fell to 0-3 in the CLC (2-5 overall).

Sophomore guard Sonia Schubert had a fine overall game to spark the Resorters. Schubert had a team-high 11 points, five steals and seven rebounds to go with three assists. Mariah Ausloos, Emma Feldmann and Rachael Flora also grabbed seven boards each.

Sophomore guard/forward Camrie Schmitz contributed 10 points off the bench for EL-G. Emily Holzmann led the team in assists with four and had three steals. Feldmann had three steals and assists each.

“We played a pretty good game. We played well early and had a good start,” said Resorter head coach Donny Kulow.

“It was just nice to get a win. It’s been a tough stretch for us and a tough week.

“We had good looks on offense and caused problems on defense. We had a nice game off the bench from Camrie Schmitz and Sonia Schubert had a good overall game,” said Kulow.

Alicia Hartman paced the Rams in scoring with 10.
