Norman G. Langkabel, 88, was born on February 1, 1926 to his parents Emil and Mabel(Hogue) Langkabel in Sheboygan, WI.

He was 88, he died at home with his wife Pat in Woodburn, OR on December 15, 2014. He is at peace with His Lord.

He served his country in World War II in the Navy. He married Patricia Nelson on March 15, 1947. They were married 67 years and 9 months at the time of his death.

He worked at Wagner’s Chevrolet in Plymouth for many years. In the early 1960’s he bought his own garage in Glenbeulah for a few years. In 1965, they moved to California.

He worked as a mechanic on Chevy’s for his career life. He retired at age 62 and moved to Kentucky where his son Dennis lived. They also lived in Arizona and now in Oregon.

He is survived by his wife Patricia, three daughters and one son. Linda(Ron) Roth, Chetek, WI Paula(Dan) Sugajski, Silverton, OR, Peggy(Randy) Schrab, Gresham OR, Dennis(Linda) Langkabel, Glascow, KY, Eight grandchildren, tweny-four great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Three brothers Ray Langkabel, Plymouth, WI, Roland(Maxine) Langkabel, AZ, George(Ellie) Langkabel, Mesa, AZ and one sister, Dorothy(Jerry) Meininger, Plymouth, WI. Three sister-in-laws Lesa(Vernon) Wilbur, Unadilla NY, Carol(Herbert) Langkabel, Plymouth, WI, and Vivian(Duane) Nelson, Newark, OH, and one brother-in-law Butch(Sue) Rabe, Kiel, Wl, also, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Mabel Langkabel, four brothers Edward, Donald, Harold, and Herbert Langkabel, two sister-in-laws, Sue Rabe, and Margaret Langkabel, three brother-in-laws, Vernon Wilbur, Duane Nelson, and Arles Nelson, and one grandson, Lance Jefferson Gurney.

He was loved and will be missed by many people.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 19, 2014 at Country Meadow Village in Woodburn, OR where he and Pat resided.
