Falls has six All-EWC positions

Sheboygan Falls has six positions which earned All-Eastern Wisconsin Conference girls tennis honors for the 2013 season.

The Falcons have three second-team selections – Ellie Roe at No. 3 singles; Monica Micoliczyk, No. 4 singles; and Abby D’Alberto and Rachel Lee at No. 3 doubles.

Falls’ other All-EWC picks, each honorable mention, include: Shauna Stoffregen at No. 1 singles; Mia Bartel, No. 2 singles; and Emily Schaefers and Samantha Bilgrien at No. 2 doubles.

Plymouth doesn’t have any all-conference players.

Manitowoc Roncalli has a league-high four All-EWC first-team positions – Tallie Pioskowski at No. 1 singles; Chloe Kitzerow, No. 2 singles; Julia Platteter, No. 3 singles; and Abby Welnetz and Maya Ledvina, No. 2 doubles.

The other first-team picks include: Evelyn Heun of Kohler at No. 4 singles; Megan Sosnosky and Gabby Yokiel, Two Rivers, No. 1 doubles; and Emily Guesneau and Amelia Grose, Kohler, No. 3 doubles.

Trapshoot league starts Jan. 12

The Sheboygan Falls Conservation Club will host a three-person winter trapshooting league, starting Jan. 12.

The league will run for eight weeks with 600 team targets (200 per person). The club is located at N6390 Meadowlark Road, Sheboygan Falls.
