Engineering and design work on the new educational facility planned at the Broughton Sheboygan County Marsh Park is moving forward. The project will be done in tune with the natural setting and sustainability at the forefront. LEED standards of construction are assuring highest energy efficiency and quality. Schmitt Construction and Legacy Architecture are reaching out to local contractors and vendors eager to become part of this new venture, encouraging donation of materials and talent to provide a facility that will serve as a venue to host generations of youth educational programs in the future. Naming rights to acknowledge donors are part of the plan.

Thousands of children visit the park each year to experience and learn about the environment benefits and history contained in the Sheboygan Marsh. The educational center and meeting facility will house Camp Y-Koda’s environmental programs, many area school field trips, and other groups who appreciate conservation efforts and wildlife at the marsh. Visit or call (920) 876-4312 for more information.

The Broughton Sheboygan County Marsh Park is located two miles north of the village of Elkhart Lake on County J.
